it would be better to move widgets using mouse pointer it sets up code automatically in Relativelayout xml cuz
-
Thanks Travis for showing me the magic of RelativeLayout. its really awesome. I love it! 🙂 (y)
-
well ,couldn't we just choose a Relativelayout to begin with instead..?!!
-
This line's messing me up for the most part lol
-
Viết nhầm thôi mà ^^
-
cant get past the buttons travis, cant even see the splash screen. am stuck at the first layout but am very sure the code is right
-
its kinda hard to talk and think at the same time… man.. XD
-
I don't know who you are.
I don't know what you want,
but if you say "For the most part"
ONE MORE TIME!!! ……… -
Man why your codes so messy makes it harder for everyone to understand the codes try pressing enter when you finish with a line of code makes everyone life easier
-
talk, think, code…
So many things at the same time
XD -
FOR THE MOST PART THIS SENTENCE IS DRIVING ME NUTS. But I still love you longtime, Travis.
-
I'm gonna call it…(few few few)… getForTheMostPart.xml
-
public onPause("For the most part"){
super(…)
finish(); // I think that now he will not say again for the most part 😛}
-
yeah, he said this on the most part of the video
-
0:22 for the most part
0:26 for the most part
0:42 for the most…
0:57 for the most part
1:17 for the most part
1:28 for the most part
2:30 for the most part
3:09 for the most part
3:19 for the most part
Lol. -
just found out something, you dont need to xml to align items for relative layout, you can do that with the graphic out, just drag a button or whatever in the position you want it and it will work and show up on xml also
-
keep up the god work travis!!!!
-
Haha bSAFR
(Be safer, sorry… lame joke :/) -
I'm surprised that he didn't mention
android:layout_marginLeft=""
that is what makes the relative layout so powerful. It lets you place an object anywhere that you want. -
Great Video Travis. Thanks for this short, practical relative positioning example.
-
Well that is a lesson for me i couldnt get it to work so i deleted everything then i relized i never fin watching the vid so i didnt see the fact he never initilized the radioGroup always always watch to the end lol

Bucky teaches straight to the point
-

@joannis11 The fact that you can't handle a few spammers on youtube, of all websites, one of the nastiest, worst communities, makes me believe that you're new to the internet. Complaining won't stop them. Just ignore them.

for the most part.

"This line's messin' me up for the most part."

Update: Solved! I had to restart eclipse while I did an update for something else. I restarted and started to build get.xml page. I couldn't build it because of the error that kept popping up so I 'cleaned project' which bought up 100's of errors in every file. After not being able to solve building this page problem I decided to see what was wrong in the manifest and in the camera page part it had changed the word 'portrait' to por*-|trait, or similar. I corrected it, saved and it mended it all

Can't get past this stage. Eclipse keeps saying the Ids cannot be recognized when I refer to them to align other buttons etc. I went onto mybringback and downloaded the sample project with the get xml as Travis made it, copied and pasted it in and still get the same errors. Any ideas anyone? I could switch to linear layout for now but would like to know how to fix this for the future as relative seems a better option 🙂 THANKS!!! In the mean time I'll keep trying!
