Best Android Book :

In this part of my App Inventor tutorial I will start covering Android interface design. I want the weather app we have been creating in parts 9 and 10 of this series to look very nice.

Here I’ll show you how I created the layout and I’ll also walk you through the techniques needed to draw all of your icons in Inkscape.

Hi Derek, can you explain why in Inkscape drawing, you will remove the strokes almost every time and just use fill.

    Hi Derek

I'm having a few problem will different android phone resolution, I wrote an app for galaxy Note2 , width(used fill parents)and hight is perfectly fine, but i try it on phones like galaxy S2 and Sony Z , the width is fine but the hight , is not showing it all.
Just wondering what can i don't to make it for every other phone?

Thank you again for the time you take to help others 🙂
Just wanted your feedback on the following:
"In Android there is just one .jar file for the entire API. In contrast, in .NET there are individual assemblies (packages) in separate physical files. I am sure that although the classes are loaded in memory on a per needed basis by the DVM/.NET, is there any benefit to one approach over the other ?

I've found these tutorials very useful. I'm just starting out with App Inventor and have found them well thought out and easy to follow. Thank you for taking the time to do them.

I been missing out on these tutorials because of tough classes at school. But as soon as I have some free time I'm watching these series… I don't even know why I paid the apple developer fee.

I love how we're learning how to apply the tools that we learned in inkscape on this project.  I feel sorry for the people that just watched the inkscape tutorials and didn't want to learn about android development.
