In this video I’ll focus on creating App Inventor interfaces. I’ll take the vector art I made in the last tutorial and convert it into a App Inventor interface.

I create regular non-App Inventor interfaces in pretty much exactly the same way.

+Derek Banas Unfortunately, I have to give up on this tutorial.  As far as I can tell, using Geolookup with Weather Underground is seriously underpowered.  At random times of the day, all of the data's indexes shift either up or down, due to perhaps an additional index in the JSON added within the day, as the JSON file is dynamic (not such a good thing).  I have watched these tutorials and understanded it, would I be ok continuing on the playlist?

in your newthinktank site, where you provide the set up for the pic, labels, etc fields, you did a copy and paste, so the pics names for the second table are copies of the first table, even though you gave the proper name for the labels.

the blue bar line doesn show up. what is wrong with it, as i did the label for it exactly like you said to do it.

i still dont understand what are we supposed to do with the original verctor art? or the .pdf from your other site, newthinktank. what free tools, like inkscape, do you suggest for ubuntu?
also, you didnt answer my question how to use weather underground feeds. i need the exact beginning url and end url for the global variables in AI. thank you.

I am working on a project, I have text documents. I want to use one screen to dynamically load the text into it from the different text documents. so when the user clicks different chapters, the single screen that i assigned will  load multiple documents but based on which link the user clicks. so screen 1 will load chapter 1, 2 3 at different intervals. is there a video where you show something similar to this? or could you help out.

    Hello Derek,
I've came across your tutorials a couple a day ago.
I've  just started out to Appinventor 3 weeks ago.
    I'm developing my first game.
In short the game is sort mole mash game, but then with a fly.
You score points if you smash the fly, but beware for bombs.
I have a question regarding high score.
I can't find nothing about , going to another screen where you can see your high score.
    Could you please help??

Hi Derek, Love Your Tutorials! I Have A Question Though, In Tutorial 10 and 12 You Start Out With A Blank Screen But Still Keep The Same Code Blocks, Are Setting The Labels And Texts As Hidden? I Tried Deleting One Of Them But Also Lost The Block That Goes With It In The "Blocks" Section…

I had a great idea for an application for the android last week. After a few frustrated tries with a book, I realized that I was not learning very quickly by following code tutorials in written form. A day or two after, I found your tutorial series on Android Development – and watched for hours. I had no prior Java knowledge, so I realized that I would have to learn enough Java to code my idea. I found your Java tutorial, and I've watched those for hours every day. A week ago today I had literally never written a single line of Java, and I already have the framework for the mathematical part of my app written. I still haven't finished nearly all of your videos, but I have already learned more than I imagined I could in a week. So thank you very much for your comprehensive, interesting tutorials Derek.

Hello, Derek. Thanks a lot for your wonderful tutorials. Really helpful for me.  Just one question: How to display certain sensor data in real time, in stead of using a particular Button for refreshment? Thanks!!!

Hey Derek! Your videos are awesome! AppInventor is great, but the only thing I dislike is the grey bar thing on top of the screen. Do you know if you can remove it? Or will it stay there forever?
