Wow he does it in exactly 5 min and 22 sec. Look at the timer at the end of the video!

I wonder what will humans 1000 years in the future think when they see this

I know it is emotional but you are super exciting! Thank you for making learning to code so fun!

  4. Lucas Henry Avatar

Hey Dan! Do you have a Javascript implementation of this? My poor computer can't run processing.

I challenge you to make game "Plant vs Zombie" Processing

What program language is this?. This is 20 times easier then C++ lol…

  7. Manos Chalvatzopoulos Avatar

is there any code for the Lorenz Attractor in JavaScript?

    i love you!!
    awesome

Did you know that it was first called the seagull effect? I think we should reclaim that name!

  10. Atheist Ateist Avatar

Wow! can one do the same with maxwells equations?

    draw every point at v x, v y v y v y

    Youre awesome

what compiler did you use ? it wasn't Xcode certainly.

Don't you just love how us nerds spend our time on visualizing random formulae?

Please can you explain me how to share my creations on social media?

  15. Oscar Mejia Avatar

    Hello,
When trying to mimick this in p5, i get "point not yet implemented in webgl". Is there a fix around this?

Anyone having troubling rotating etc. on the 3-D result?

Man you are very very good, thanks to this presentation I managed to finally get some great info on Lorenz's atractor and finish my school work. Thank you!! <3

This channel is the most underrated thing. Thank you so much for these videos!

U say that it's in Java, but:
    where is the "public class"
    public static void main(String[] args)

And… I don't know such a library where only one command allows to create a window in just one line of code ( I know more libraries than AWT, Swing )

  20. jordan fink Avatar

i'd love to learn how to translate this into p5.js. any advice?

you know what.. i think i like this guy :p

I so want to share stuff with you, but not on that level yet… :p

I would love to see a processing sketch that graphs Dan's heartbeat when he's doing these challenges

Managed to implement this with 3D in p5 😀 However, is there a way to make the shape(vertex) have a thicker line? :O

  25. Walk n Talk Avatar

Im having heavy fps drop by drawing the shape (or using P3D) it start at 60fps and always gets down to 0.5 in the same amount of time. its wired. is this my pc or is this a processing thing?..

  26. xX_Kane_Xx Avatar

What is his name?? I'd like to google him and learn more about him.

Thank you so much for this. Love your enthusiasm, energy, and of course the clarity with which you explained all of this.

I am having to study attractors in general and this one in particular for a dynamical systems class I am taking, and so far I was just seeing boring static pictures and graphs along with the theory. Creating and watching a live animation literally just made the subject come alive for me, haha… again thanks, this was great.

    you're the best 😀

I'm curious, how do you make a video with yourself in front of the background computer screen? And how do you zoom in to and out of the screen? I'm guessing there's some capture device / software for this.

I was learning java and android development but after seeing your challenges i decided to tackle with web development a little but and i found in very interesting .. You're an inspiration and you make learning so much fun
