  6. Justin Smith Avatar

So, you explain vector units and all that…. but… perhaps we can be shown how to implement them into our game? Animation? You left us hangin…

  7. Stian ØdegΓ₯rd Avatar

Can you start with more Pygame tutorials?

  8. Alex Chaplianka Avatar

We do need more, but looks like he's moved onto Chemistry experiments ?!? Do we need a PayPal fund to get him going again on these tutorials????

  10. SpringSamurai Avatar

Don get me wrong, like the vids very useful and thank you bucky!. But 17 vids in 2 days isnt that hard when 1. youre bucky and 2. they are only 5 min each and to the point.

Vectors are a special type of line that never loose clarity and sharpness when resized. For example, you could create the 20,30 vector in this tutorial and set it to be 8 pixels wide. Then, you could resize it to be a 100,150 vector and it would still be 8 pixels wide instead of 40 pixels wide(increased vector by five times).
In 3d games, vectors allow you to easily draw lines that can be any size and maintain their pixel width, so the polygons will always look consistent.

Can somebody tell me WHY this is so important to create 3d games? Why it is important anyway?

I cant figure out how to use it…

Amazing, Frets on fire (Guitar hero "fake" for pc) was made with pygame! πŸ˜›

You got the difference in x and he difference in y the wrong way around, plus naming the points (20, 25) and (40, 55) as x and y is really confusing and makes the little mathematician in me cringe.

    Otherwise it's a good tutorial.

Basic ratio/proportion. If you listened in your math class, this would be easy as shizzles.

  19. n0sec Avatar

If you check the dates on his IDLE when it starts and the upload date, he did it way before uploading it.

@2AWESOMETV I know this comment is 11 months old, but you can use IronPython. No clue how, but a 30 second search revealed that.

I was kind of scared for a moment there. There are only the 17 first videos in the playlist for this tutorial, so I thought that thenewboston had stopped this tutorial or something like that. I'm glad to see 18 and 19 in the "Suggestions". How many videos are there? I'll look in the uploads at the most recent "Game Development Tutorial" video. Thank you very much for all these videos thenewboston, they're easy to understand and you're a pretty good teacher.

Look in the examples folder in python, Lib, site-packages, pygame

@Sp1k3r666 Dude, he can only teach so much, at some point you have to go and learn things on you own

  33. Huss Kelaby Avatar

Love your tutorials bro please make more !!!!

  34. theR15atYT Avatar

I think the triangle that you have drawn is incorrect. The difference between the x co-ordinates is 20 so the base should be of length 20 and not 30 as you show it in the picture. Same for the height of the triangle.

Anyway your tutorials are really easy to understand and helpful. Thanks

  35. r3sp3c791 Avatar
