it's seems not even W3C can explain how to link an external XML file I've been googling the whole day and only vague answers. please can anyone help? thank you!

Thank you 🙂 I also have a new XML tutorial that I think is much better. Sorry, but I don't have access to .net tools. Maybe I'll cover that in the future, but for now I mainly focus on free open source stuff. Thank you for the request

I've had to use XML in work scenarios along with LinQ/.net LinQ esp I don't really know in-depth but I manage to hack the apps together, just using logic with no training. So thanks for the vids, best I've come across yet for a beginner, or someone that knows high level operations WCF etc but doesn't necessarily know what all the syntax/elements mean or their evolution. So thanks a lot. Is there a LinQ tutorial? Perhaps one on Generics?

I agree this video is very old. I have a newer version on my YouTube channel

that music or whatever it is in the background is really irritating and makes it difficult to follow your very fast speaking style. No reason for it.

Derek, regarding your acknowledged mistake with "standalone = 'no'" at 5:01, how about, as a general rule, including errata in your Uploader Descriptions?
-
Nah pal I thought the same, its the tone of his voice, but once you get used to it, then the tutorials are good. I came back after not finding any other useful tutorials, and was surprised by the amount I learned from these vids. Thanks Mr Voice whoever you are for making these videos!

@coolchetang Yes most are made in java as @derekbanas said but you can use XML to link GUI elements to your Java code.
-
@coolchetang Android apps for the most part are created using Java

Hi Derek. I want to know if xml is the best for Android development.

@SalmanKhanKool Send me a time code on what you have a question on and I'll gladly help you out

Great tutorials, i actually like the background music! could you go abit slow though, everything else is perfect 🙂 Thanks for sharing you knowledge!

This video sucks.

@mayurbhagat10 You're welcome. Thanks for the nice comment:)

really helpful …
thanks to publisher -
@GreyStrayCat You are correct. I made a mistake there. Sorry about that
-
Hello. There's one question I have – 5:01 is this correct that if the standalone attribute value is set to "no", it requires no external files? I thought it was vice versa. Pls clarify. Thanks
-
@Jorgano101 I know it sucks. I'm redoing all of these tutorials right now. They won't have any music and they will be more interactive with more coding and less talking.

The background music distracts the listener. Actually is very annoying.

@3354745 For pure web programming your best bet is probably Komodo Edit. I use Coda for all of my web programming, but it is $99. Komodo Edit is free and what I use on the pc. I use Eclipse for all other programming like python, java, c++. Even though I have Dreamweaver I don't often use it. Hope that helps?

@3354745 I use Eclipse. It's free, works with most languages and all operating systems
-
@3354745 What OS do you use? Do you want the best free editor or are you willing to spend money on it? What languages do you want it to understand?
