    1) Apple never inveted the mouse. Xerox Alto has a mouse in 1973, years before Apple company even started. Get your shit stright man.
    2) You praise simplicity? What about Face ID? Scanning your face to unlock a fckin phone? Is this your idea of simplicity? Scanning your face for corporation which has been proven to supply data to NSA, CIA and rest of criminal agencies? Also with your communication and rest of the data. How gullible are you people?
    3) higly overpriced, crappy device for self snitching. the more sheep you are, the sooner you will preorder

Samsung wasnt the first whit that screen it realy was a china company named xiaomi…. the celphone is the Xiaomi MiMix…

apple is great but the prices do kill you.

The black part on top is a major design flaw in my opinion, I've already seen many complications it will create. They could've stretched it along the whole top side resulting in it being thinner aswell. The icons are just smashed in the top-right corner without any margin and it looks terrible in my opinion.

"Less is more". True, less ports is more money spend on obsolete adapters and dongles.

Is it just me who can see the very very clear bezel around the screen of the iphone x? lol

I have an iPhone 7 and even though I'm also a big apple fan girl, I have to say I'm super disappointed. Before I had an iPhone 4S and until they stopped the updates for this phone it was functioning pretty well. Now with the iPhone 7 the camera doesn't really work and the user experience isn't that nice anymore – it doesn't work so fluently and sometimes I even have to force a reset to get it to work normally again. The new one looks really interesting but since my bad experience I don't think I would consider spending this much money on it.

So, since we are talking about iPhones – does anyone have the iPhone 7 and can relate to my experience or did I just catch a really bad product?

A designer who's a huge fan of apple? No way.

WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR TO BUY THE IPHONE X…my recent video says why!

  11. Drachenmaetzler Avatar

You should try the Samsung S8/+. It has the same display, in fact Apple bought the iphone x's oled display unit from samsung.

I do not like that camera bump in the middle of the screen. I wish they made the screen totally rectangular and create a space for the camera on top. With every picture, or video that bump will be there.
I'm on the fence, but if I do get an iPhone I'll be spending the 1400 I suppose.

    Apple didn't invent the mouse

I suppose the point of this video is to point out some lessons in design. "Less is more" "A limitation can become a feature" "'Reiteration is key to a polished design""

Personally I'm not exactly a huge fan of apple, but I like that they've taken the approach for providing the hardware for potential future versatility (I'll explain later, but it's sort of like how they transitioned in the past from the OG iPhone to the iPhone 3G). Although I think Apple heavily relies on the brand that they've built for themselves, they are finally trying out some weird new interesting things again. For example, the amount of reiterative UX & interface design that would have gone into replacing the home button would have been unreal. Using facial recognition as an interface rather than a security measure seems like it could go into many different directions in terms of creating apps & software that utilise this feature. (I think the emoji thing was just an example of an application) I found it interesting that they're manufacturing their own hardware, thus having more control over the quality of the physical product. I'm glad that the new phone supports wireless charging (finally).

I don't think they are trying to compete with Android devices. They're kind of hard to compare really. Each have their own demographic & android users (such as myself) probably aren't willing to sacrifice their expandable storage, head phone jack and handy micro-USB. Also, Google Launcher is the OS I use on my phone, so all of my chrome extensions, apps, cloud & stuff is all synced together. I don't think it's fair to compare one to the other as Apple is a singular brand & Android phones come in many shapes & sizes. It really depends on what works for you in a device.

Much as I agree on many levels when it comes to the simplicity of design by Apple, I can't get my head around the icon design for both MacOS apps. They seem ugly, way too detailed and "shiny" for a company that is dubbed a leader in minimalistic approach to design. Just my point of view, but the issue is successfully keeping me from buying an Apple device.

  17. sethraptor Avatar

it's already too simple for me

iPhone X, 256GB w/AppleCare and Sales Tax is $1,463 US. Can't wrap my head around that. My 2017 iPad Pro, 256GB w/AppleCare and tax: $1,083.83. Added Apple Pencil, leather case, PreSonus iTwo AudioBox and a Demo Novation LaunchKey 25 from Sweetwater, and I still have a few bucks leftover. As an audio guy I'll keep my 6S Plus w/headphone jack. First time in 9 years I'm not upgrading (once the 7 ditch the jack, that dongle will shred during the first live show). The iPad Pro is so versatile between ProCreate and Notion for scoring, 8 and X not necessary.

Sorry but the design of the iphone was leaked and rumored way before s8 was even a dream.

  20. SweBass Avatar

I don't know, maybe it's because of all the leaks, but I feel a bit disappointed. I feel that the iPhone X has been rushed. No way to put Touch ID under the screen? Ok then lets have face ID (which seems to have a lot of problems, it even failed during the keynote) Lets make no bezel screen… oh but we can't but all the sensors under the screen yet… lets out it in top. Wireless charging? Humm We hate QI but we can't come up with our vision of distance wireless charging… lets just go with QI.

  21. Oskari Rintamäki Avatar

But the design is not new in any way. There has already been phones that had no home button and no blocks on top or bottom

I've been sooo hyped for an iPhone without bezels, so I'm ready to give a some money for this, but 1.159 euro is to much for me :p

  26. Mark Barr Avatar

Less is mor = less innovation More money £999 Ridiculous

  27. Lucky Deelusion Avatar

Yes it look nice with fairly well tech and camera but… I was expecting more for that price.

  28. Tagashi Berizu Avatar

I agree the phone looks beautiful but there's nothing really new inside. I don't understand why Apple or Samsung/Google haven't invested in Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)'s Dipole Coil Resonant System. Gone should be the days of plugging your phone into the wall or putting it on some ugly pad that just takes up space. We are talking about a 3 year old prototype device that can charge 40 smartphones from across the room. Imagine stepping foot in your home and never having to worry about charging your phone. That is innovation.

  29. cweb1988 Avatar

    So. Much. Money. Though.

I like Apple quite a bit. And grew up using their stuff….and still do. I still prefer it. Love the iMac. But ultimately….at least with the phones…I'd rather have fewer products, longer product cycles, and larger advancements. I mean I appreciate the fact that there's a LOT of pretty crazy tech going on inside this new phone. But ultimately…..the end use for the tech really isn't that interesting to me….especially not for over a grand.

Why is everyone naming there thing ___ X. First the XBox One X, now the I Phone X! It's just a good phone people!

  33. Justin Sulak Avatar

I have recently discovered Apple did not invent the mouse. Rather, it had been used in governments and other companies and Steve Jobs saw it and used their design to use it in a consumer grade product. So in reality, Apple has kinda always been into creating something BETTER and not FIRST.

  34. Mr.Mohy Avatar

But the facial recognition failed on the demo. Lol they should have a fingerprint on the apple logo or on the power button like sony having a second option is not bad.

  35. Stratos Fotakis Avatar

They just could have done more for a company of this caliber! That's not really enough .They are just trying to catch up. Just wake up and get back to reality. All they really have is really good marketing and a loyal fanbase that will always buy what they sell!

Great channel… I'm a graphics designer my self.. Mostly posters though, don't have a YouTube channel.. but I'm on Instagram @tabo74

  37. Floerebroed Avatar

I'm surprised, that you don't talk about the symbols in the upper right corner.
They seem "stuffed" in there. That really throws me off.
I mostly like the iphone SE design.

  38. Raiden MGS Avatar

Nope nope just nope. It's the same recycled crap they always do. Add a few new features here and there. They keep focusing on Camera, Memory, Water Proof, and all that shit, yet their Batteries are utter shit!!! When you take away all those buttons and make them part of a screen, all you do is drain your battery quicker. I am a graphic designer as well, but I will most likely not buy this shit because they say they "reinvented" the wheel. Fuck You Apple!!!! #AppleTurningIntoSamsung

  39. Ascor 8522 Avatar

Did you even know the Retina display was first build by LG, and then sold in Apple's scams?

  40. Floerebroed Avatar

they stole the mouse :> from xerox parc

im not too keen on the top part of the phone though.
and the price lol, i could buy a motorbike with that amount of money in my country.

  42. It's JEEZ! Avatar

Apple never innovated. They sold a phone on 2014 that had the tech of a 2007 smartphone
