Im confused…why is everything with p5.js? Is there going to be tutorials without using p5? I am new so im not sure but I feel like using p5 is not what the "real" programming world uses so is it just a learning tool? What about when we have to make our own programs without p5? Im confused because I am coming from Free code camp.

Note: if you get the "ReferenceError: Can't find variable: createP" error, you forgot to include p5.dom.js in your .html file.
Hoping to save someone else a few minutes of head scratching when all this is new to them.

Why does the function work alone? Don't you need to creat a button for it to work?

Daniel, I love these videos! I wanted to look through the p5.dom.js file to see exactly how the createP() function works in regular javascript but I could not find it in the library? Could you point me to how I could find how it works? The closest I could find in the library was 'function addElement(elt, pInst, media) …' but I am guessing that is not it o_O

I have processing 2 and 3 in my computer, but I'm having difficulties to install p5js. It shows an strange "error": " you cannot run this app on your PC". How do I solve this? Thank you Daniel… You helped a total newbie to develop passion in programming. I started with your lessons in processing, now I'm learning JAVA!!! And I really really like it. I cannot thank you enough!

For those who want to know a little bit of HTML, there is a ton of courses in youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb9FNiUx-aw. Coursera opened a lot of courses and specializations oriented to web development too. Some example: https://www.coursera.org/specializations/full-stack

Man, this is so amazing!!!! I started to study webdevelopment recently. The primary reason was your lessons in processing. Now there is this amazing editor/language (p5js) wich allows to write code in html? This is so nice!!!!
