If you type this string in the manifest : android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Black.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen", you can get the same result. Is there any difference between these two ways ?

can anyone here show me the set up for your emulator? for some reason, it started acting up and won't install correctly anymore and leaves me with this "Installation failed due to invalid URI!". It starts up, uploads, and installs really slow! Any help would be nice. Thanks!

I think that the black background is related to the version of Android his emulator is using, he is using 2.x and you are using 4.2
