In this video, we are setting up the game loop using a Java Swing timer. The Swing timer is simple to set up, and a decent alternative to rolling your own timer for beginning developers. Swing timers take 2 parameters, delay and actionlistener. In this video, we learn how to write an action listener and set the delay of the timer.
