    I like how easy swift is to understand and code in. Can't wait to install hackintosh el-Capitan so I can tackle the playground. Am interested in working on a messaging app like Whatsapp.

    chris how do you change a = 10 to a = 1 unresponsive atm ?

  9. Bobby E. Avatar

    It's lower case L so it would be `l’ but "println" has been renamed to "print" so instead of typing printl put print…….printl=print now!! 🙂

    Chris! I am running Xcode 7 and I am not able to use println, I use print but it puts n at the end of the message

    i have just started this, i have been following your tutorial, however when i println("hello") or println(message) it comes up with an error code and corrects it to print, so i can imagine they might have changed something with a newer version since this is almost a year old. so i do print("hello") and i get "hellon" on the right side. any ideas on whats going on with that?

    Question: When I changed the 10 to the 1, nothing happened. The ten on the far right stayed as a ten, therefore, it never changed the final sum to 16, so I didn't ever get the message, "hello."

    When I was following along I didn't see line numbers! I did a Google search and found you need to go to Xcode then preferences then select the text editing tab and finally check the line numbers box!

    Does the spacing in swift matter? Do swift programmers have to add those spaces always, or is it just something they do to make it easier to look over later and to make there code neater

    Hi.

    After I follow the lines

    var a = 10

    var b = 15

    var total = a + b

    the result I get is 1015 not 25. any ideas?

    When i then type

    println(total)

    I also get 1015…
