You do the best Illustrator tutorials on here. I like how you're quick, precise, and get to the point on everything. There are people who make 25 minute videos, and more than half the time, they spend it on gibbering and giving too much information.

hey your videos are incredible! Thank you very much for them:)
I have a question though: since English isn't my native tongue, I don't understand a word you say "if you hold down the ____(tildo??)" 0:17. What's that command?
    sorry and thanks again:)

You can't make a circle artboard. What are you trying to do?

  11. Derek Banas Avatar

@andycosta68 Select your text and then click on create outlines. Then you can manipulate the text anyway that you like. I also show you how to do tons of crazy things with text in Illustrator in Part 5 of this tutorial series. Hope that helps?

    Tutorial request:
For instance, how can I create the word "COOL" and have the two letter O interlaced? When the lower part of the Os are joined, one is below the other, and in the upper part it's the opposite? I hope the request is sort of clear!!

@squizofreniko The layer that you're drawing on is probably locked. Does the layer with the brush tool art have a "lock" symbol to the right of the eye symbol? Click on the lock symbol there and you should be good to go

@kittylin150 Draw the flare on screen and then click on the button labeled Recolor Artwork. It is just above the upper left hand part of your document or art board.
