Hi Derek, thank you again for your amazing input ! Now I m a bit confused in the website world, I m a 3D artist and would like to promote my work, not to sale but just to get a job in the business, so to use my website as a potfolio ( later on to be a source for " how to .. ) What languages ( css, jquery ,java, ajax, php, c+ .. ) would you use to make the site ? Nothing too fancy, a few dropdown menus, transitions on hover and a contactform, responsive and with an artistic touch of course ( the website is more about content and techniques) Its ok to put time and efforts in it but it isnt ok to waste time. it seems that we can do, for exemple, a dropdown menu with css, but the same with Jquery, I dont understand very well the difference. It would be nice if you had time to give me, and others of course ) a global idea what langage to use for witch techniques or results. ありがとう

Derek, is bind deprecated ? AFAIK, "On" is the only one used for everything in later version of JQuery.

when I press 'highlight' text, the purple color shows up but doesn't go away. then after, only a few buttons work whenever I press 'highlight'.

I did have some trouble with the code but found it worked when I linked to JQuery-UI using the following tag:

    script type="text/javascript" src="ht tp://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.3/jquery-ui.js"

A cms if done properly is extremely complex mainly because of the needed security. To get an idea of how one works you can look at the 80+ WordPress tutorials I've made. You can do anything customization wise with WordPress. I plan on covering the zend framework as soon as possible which is what I'd use to make anything from scratch.

@hotnsexyprince Most professors work from one book. I normally work from 10. Some of them want students to fail so that they have to retake classes. I only want people to succeed. I took money out of the equation, so that I can focus on doing what I love which is teaching 🙂 The fact that you like the videos is enough payment for me

@mydreamcode19 I did it already. It's called JQuery Video Tutorial Pt 7. I've made just about every video tutorial already. AJAX is just a technique used to grab data dynamically without page reloads. You'll understand when you watch that tutorial. A lot of people are confused by AJAX, but it is just a very simple technique
