    IMO you were way over complicating the snakes and the ladders. Both snakes and ladders operate in the exact same way. If it goes from a smaller index to a larger index its a ladder, otherwise its a snake. And to place them you just need to pick a 2 random columns and 2 unique rows. Bam!
