Hi Will! I'm pretty much in this boat right now. I've already chosen a career path and have been working in it for some years now… I'm not sure if I'm unhappy with it or if I'm just bored and ready to start something new. I've always had an interest in graphic design and have just recently been diving into the subject with books and online stuff like videos and articles, other people's work etc., and I'm just so excited about starting this career. I don't know if I want to go to school and I learned from one of your other videos that you didn't (if I remember correctly), it's so expensive and I still have loans to pay from my other schooling. ANyway, I forgot why I started typing this and now it's so long. I guess just thanks for the advice and I like watching your videos. Very helpful!!

My worst fear for being a graphic designer is, not really good in design software & can't really draw anything bt i can sketch the idea out of wat i wanna design.

A great inspirational channel you have! I already finished my University in Biotechnology. But last year I started with graphic design in evening courses… And it's so much fun! I see you're also a very motivating person, that's a great thing! I wish you the best!

My worst fear as a student right now is actually not being able to create work that will land me internships, because experience is the one thing I'm really wanting to have.

I know exactly where you are coming from………..I have been there…….most people (my family members included) thought I was wasting time in studying the Craft because it was "Not Earning"………I was not put off and I am glad I stuck to the knitting. My Finances took a beating and I refused to compromise. But there is a light at the end of that Tunnel

I've been learning graphic design sense 7th grade and now after summer I'm going to be in 12th grade. For this long i have been learning and it just been a hobby and passion that i knew from 8th grade on that i want to work in the graphic design field. So what do you think my first step to really making it a career would be. I want to start just doing logo design but, i don't know really where to start for getting a job or internship. And my biggest fear is my work not being a good enough quality, so that what i try and work on a lot.

Sounds like I'm currently in "that" situation. Just finished first year of Sixth Form with Graphics being one of my subjects and I think I wanna go down that route in the future. My teacher organised some work experience for me to do in the holidays at her old company which should hopefully give me an idea of what a career in Graphic Design will be like. Your words were just really motivating and encouraging though, thanks 🙂

Great video! I find your videos very helpful.
I just graduated in graphic design, and am looking forward to be a designer. I've been a good student, and my professors loved my work, but now that I have to find a job and whether or not the company will like my work, makes me really nervous.
    Anyways, love your videos  🙂

Thanks for the pep talk. I'm starting graphic design soon and I'm kind of nervous about school. Thank you for this video 🙂

Holy shit I wanna be a logo designer as well 🙁 How "cool" or "rich" was your 1st portfolio when you started to apply at companies or studios? Cus mine seems a bit unrprofessional or amateur-ish atm and im almost finish with graphic design school.. 🙁 How many works should be inside a decent porfolio to show at a company. I really appreciate your advice, striving to get to where you are now 🙂
