Hey Derek, I apologize beforehand for the wall of text. I've worked with webdesign for sometime as a freelancer, but always relying on graphical interfaces to do the job. I knew some HTML but that was about it. Now that I'm 22 I decided to get into computer science and I'm trying to fill in the blanks and work on my skills. My current goal is to learn how programming works at a fundamental level so I can develop apps and different kinds of websites just coding, without graphical interfaces, and hopefully some day start working with algorithims.

I thought that simply going for the apps tutorials wasn't going to be good for me since I was missing a lot of knowledge. For the past 3 months I've looked at HTML extensively as long as the basics of CSS, Javascript, PHP, C# (on Unity) and Python, without getting really in depth into it, just exploring the basics.

Right now I'm looking to find practical ways to apply the skills I'm building here and on other websites, but I really don't know what projects to pick, and I'm clueless of how it can shift me to APP Development later.

I thought that this tutorial series could help me since it blends WordPress, PHP, MySQL and some other things together, but I'm probably going to be done with it in 2 days, so I would like to know if you have any recommendations for me, on my case, of what to do.

    So, 3 questions:

    – Are there any tutorials or sources of projects you'd recommend for my current situation? I want to mix all the skills I'm learning and apply them into one unified project if I can.
    – How would I shift from the stuff I know now to app development down the road?
    – Also, I would like to know if you plan doing any videos on Algorithms? As a beginner I have no idea of how to get into something like that.

Thank you very much again for your time and for the videos.

That's funny. I should get a description for it. I don't know how I made that mistake

I think the reason being is the lack of the description section lol ironically I clicked on this video to find out what it was about 😉
Need to watch these videos soon! 😀

I'm glad you are enjoying it. This tutorial never took off for some reason?

Yes, I was thinking the same thing about seeing exacly what you where referring to when you say something like "ah right here". I know you are reffering to a line in the code but many times before I can spot it you have moved on. If you were to select the text just by swiping it that would be a good highlighting. And, yes the videos are excellent.

Please highlight code when you are pointing it out because your mouse keeps auto hiding and we can't see where you are pointing. Besides that, good videos.
