In which envirement you are programing?
i like your voice Derek Banas π
is the "true" in the array_reverse function really needed? i tried it out and it works fine w/o it?

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Does the USA have the equivalent of being 'Knighted' ? You are a star.
At 4:12 the new index of India is actually [2] not [3]. Yeah that view format misleads! π Thanks for all the videos!
Thank you.
GOD bless you.
This was hard to follow. Please set us up by setting out to make some purposeful thing with the code, then use the lesson to build that thing.
at the end of the video you use 'list'. what does it do? can you do something else instead, as it is a little confusing.
Thank you
Thank you π Im very happy that you enjoy the videos!
Derek is a born teacher, and we are born taught
figured it out. check ur inbox 8)
That is the tutorial I meant. Why not store the selections in cookies. You can do that dynamically without a page reload and then pull the match from the server
thx for the quick reply! are you referring to part 19? if so, that one shows how to manipulate results from 3 different lists, whereas i need to see how to manipulate the results from the same list, that has been included (looped) 3 times. i'm making a recipe script, where i use a list of ingredients. the list is included foreach of the total number of ingredients the user selected. (hope that make sense)
Thank you π I have a real complex tutorial later on in this series like that. Look for the SQL part of this tutorial. I'll look it up if you can't find it. I'm mobile right now
love your tutorials! question: do you have anything that shows how get results from an array that has been looped? ex: i have an options list that include X times within a form, and when the form is submitted, only the last list's values are processed. this has confused the piss out of me, lol
Thank you I really appreciate that π Bucky is definitely the king of programming tutorials on YouTube. I haven't seen his videos because I don't want to be influenced, but I'm sure they must be good
that being said, I rarely mute you Derek, you're a rare and competent voice here on youtube.
if only you had a VB series, I would never have to watch his.
I appreciate Bucky for what he does, but I have to say, I get through his videos by first muting, then skipping ahead two minutes (to where he starts actually coding), learn the new concept, unmuting for 2 or 3s if a really strange term comes up to hear him try to explain it. Most of his videos can be condensed to 1 minute or less (I pity those who listen to the whole thing every time).
One thing I know I'd like covered is adding to arrays from forms. The problem I was having is that when add to an array through a form submit, it adds one item, then if you try to add another, it just changes the last item (I'm a total newbie). I have looked and looked but I haven't found many examples covering this specifically.
Thank you π I'm glad you like them
Dude great tutorials. I am new to PHP and I really like how you explain it. Not just the code but the advice on how to learn. Really really good!
That's OK. I'm just happy with those people that do find my videos and like them. I definitely am not bad mouthing thenewboston. He is pretty much the king of programming tutorials on YT. He worked very hard to get where he is. I don't watch his videos because I don't want to be influenced by them, but I'm sure they are good
Thank you Derek. Yeah I didn't mean to bad mouth Bucky, or to imply views are what matter, only that your videos have so much more value in how much you learn that it's a shame more people haven't discovered you yet as you have a lot to offer people who want to learn.
Thank you. He just follows most of the so called YT rules. Make videos 3 to 4 minutes in length. He used to use suggestive thumbnails. Crank out as many videos as possible. I think what he does is great, but I don't care about views. I think if your only goal is to get views eventually that hurts the overall quality of the videos. I'm glad you like my videos and I'll do my best to keep making them π
How in the world do your tutorial videos not have more views? I started with the PHP tut videos by Bucky of TheNewBoston here on YT and he has a TON of views. However, I mean no offense to Bucky but his PHP tutorials are amazingly basic and amateur compared to Derek's tutorials. You deserve more views Derek!!!! Maybe you are not tagging your videos the best? I'm not sure what it is, maybe TheNewBoston channel just has more 'cult of personality' inertia to generate all those views? Anyways…
You're very welcome. I'm glad you took the time to express how much you liked the videos π
Hello
What does the true do in array_reverse?
Thank you..
@MegaSpecialboy Oh yes I have no doubt if you work your way through these tutorials you be a pretty good programmer. Thanks for taking the time to relay your appreciation π
@dhruvownege Haven't talked to you in a while. More are coming, everyday until I've covered everything
Good video !
